What are La Leche League Leaders?

La Leche League Leaders are experienced volunteer mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International.  La Leche League Leaders have completed an accreditation program, are trained in breastfeeding management techniques, and are up to date on the latest breastfeeding research.  They have numerous medical and legal resources to help mothers handle any problems that arise, as well as the expertise of over 50 years of breastfeeding support from mothers around the world.
